In this process a hair-thin metal probe is slided into each hair follicle properly so that it does not puncture the skin. Then electricity is passed through this probe to each follicle. This causes localized damage to the areas that generate hairs. There are three modalities which are used extensively in this process of electrology. The three methods used in this electrology process to remove hair are 1).Galvanic 2).Thermolysis 3).Blend All this three methods have their own merits and demerits and their success rate depends on the type of hair removed, the condition of the skin, skill of the electrologist. when properly performed, All three methods can be thorough at destroying the hair matrix cells there by leaving follicles incapable of regrowing hair.
